One request, one local conversation
Here is what Unioncandidates Skin Consults does, in short. You send a consultation request. We pass it to a provider in or near Eugene. The provider gets in touch with you.
That is the whole service. There is no clinic behind this site, no price list, and no booking made on your behalf. Any treatment plan comes from a licensed provider at a consultation, and the choice to go ahead is yours.
If that sounds useful, send a request. If you want to prepare first, start with questions to ask a provider.
Four kinds of consultation
Most med spa questions fall into one of four groups: skin treatments, injectables, laser hair removal and body treatments. The cards below give a short summary of each.
These pages are general information, not medical advice. A licensed provider decides what is suitable for you after a consultation. Use the pages to get familiar with the terms and to write down what you want to ask.
Skin care treatments
General notes on facials, peels and microneedling, and the questions worth asking before you try one.
Injectables consultation
Start with a conversation. Injectables are given by licensed providers where state law allows.
Laser hair removal
Find out what a session involves, how to prepare and how to care for your skin afterward.
Body contouring
Send a request to talk about non-surgical body contouring with a provider near you.
How it works
Four steps, and you can stop at any of them.
- Send a short consultation request with the service you want to ask about.
- We pass your request to a provider in or near Eugene.
- The provider contacts you to set up a consultation.
- At the consultation, a licensed provider decides what is suitable, and you decide whether to go ahead.
A few honest points about med spa care
Treatments at a med spa can involve needles, lasers, heat, cold or chemicals. A licensed provider should decide whether a treatment is suitable for you, and that decision should come after a proper consultation.
You have every right to ask about training, licensing and the device or product used. You also have every right to say no. If you notice anything that worries you after a treatment, such as swelling that gets worse, pain or signs of infection, contact the provider and see a doctor.
Questions people ask
Does sending the form book a treatment?
No. Sending the form only passes your request to a provider. Nothing is booked or agreed until you arrange it with the provider yourself.
Who decides what treatment is suitable for me?
A licensed provider decides, at a consultation, after asking about your health history and looking at the area you want treated. You then decide whether to go ahead.
Can I withdraw my request?
Yes. You can tell the provider you are no longer interested, and you can ask for your request to be withdrawn. The steps are on the privacy page.
Do I have to go ahead after a consultation?
No. A consultation is a chance to ask questions and hear what a licensed provider thinks is suitable. You can go home, think it over, compare other providers, or decide not to go ahead.
What if something worries me after a treatment?
Contact the provider who treated you. If you have pain, bleeding, swelling that gets worse, fever or signs of infection, see a doctor or seek urgent care.
